Server Rules

PHILOSOPHY

Culture of Fun

Our goal is to provide an environment where losing a gunfight or a chase isn't a punishment, it's an opportunity for engaging roleplay that rewards every party involved.

Engaging Ruleset

We encourage roleplay over rule play. Our rules exist to protect the experience, not micromanage it. Play through the scenario in front of you. If there is a rule break, report it after the scene has concluded.

Staff judge rule breaks based on the actual impact they had. If a situation led to a positive experience for all parties involved, there is nothing to intervene on. We are here to protect players' right to have fun, not to police every decision you make.

Warning Point System

Rule breaks are tracked through a warning point system. Accumulated points trigger automatic consequences including priority removal, ban tier escalation, and permanent bans. Staff cannot override automatic thresholds.

COMMUNITY RULES

These rules are held across all of our platforms, not just our game servers.

1. No Racism, Sexism, or Hateful Prejudice

Hateful conduct is not permitted on this server or any of our platforms. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Racial slurs or racially targeted language
  • Sexist remarks or gender-based discrimination
  • Homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise prejudiced language targeting any group

This applies in character and out of character. Using "it's just RP" is not a valid defence.

2. No Real-World Political or Discriminatory Roleplay

Discrimination, prejudice, or political content based on real-world identities is never to be roleplayed on this server. This includes racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, and real-world political issues regardless of the side taken.

3. No Harassment or Toxicity

Targeted harassment, doxxing, brigading, or sustained toxicity toward another member is not tolerated, in-game or on Discord.

Disagreements happen — repeated targeting of one person does not.

4. No Cheating or Exploiting

Use of external cheat menus, exploiting bugs for personal gain, or duplicating in-game items or currency will result in an immediate permanent ban and asset wipe.

GENERAL RULES

Standard roleplay conduct expected on all Tinseltown game servers.

1. Metagaming

Using information your character has no reasonable way of knowing — from Discord, streams, or a different character's memory — to influence roleplay is not allowed.

2. Powergaming

Forcing an outcome on another player without giving them a fair chance to react is powergaming. This includes unavoidable actions, scripted outcomes, or removing someone's ability to respond.

3. Fail RP

Roleplay must stay believable to the scenario. This includes:

  • Ignoring reasonable roleplay for the sake of convenience
  • Driving or reacting to injury unrealistically
  • Refusing to comply with a scene that has a clear power imbalance, without valid RP reasoning
4. New Life Rule (NVL / NLR)

Characters who are downed and revived by EMS have no memory of the events immediately leading to their injury, and may not seek revenge or return to the scene of the incident.

5. Combat Logging

Disconnecting, alt-F4ing, or otherwise leaving the server to avoid the consequences of an active roleplay scenario is treated as a serious rule break and is tracked through the warning point system.

6. Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM)

Using a vehicle to intentionally harm or kill another player without proper roleplay context is not permitted.

7. Random Deathmatch (RDM)

Engaging in violence against another player without any preceding roleplay or valid in-character reason is not allowed. Every conflict needs a story leading into it.

Losing a gunfight is roleplay too — see our Culture of Fun philosophy above.
